Full Rewire vs Partial Rewire
Full Rewire A complete replacement of all electrical wiring throughout the property — including cables, sockets, switches, light fittings, and the consumer unit. Recommended for older properties, major renovations, or where significant wiring deterioration is found.
Partial Rewire Replacement of specific circuits or areas where wiring is unsafe or non-compliant — while leaving satisfactory circuits in place. A cost-effective solution when issues are isolated to particular rooms or circuits.

How long does a full rewire take?
For an average 3-bedroom house, a full rewire typically takes 5–10 days depending on access and the complexity of the property.
Will I need to move out during the rewire?
In most cases, yes — for a full rewire, it's often easier and safer for the property to be unoccupied. We'll discuss this at the survey stage.
Do you redecorate after the rewire?
We make good any plasterwork where cables are chased in, but full redecoration is not included. We'll agree the level of making-good at the quote stage.
Will I get a certificate after the rewire?
Yes — all rewires are notified to NAPIT and you'll receive a full Electrical Installation Certificate on completion.
